Model Spotlight: Void Reaper Claw — The Hive’s Twin-Strike Hunter
Share
Some bioforms are built for endurance. Others for psychic dominance. The Void Reaper Claw was built for one thing only: the kill.
Rising to heights of up to 200mm in its largest cast, the Void Reaper Claw is defined by its two enormous scythe arms raised overhead in a death-strike pose — a silhouette so distinctive it stops armies in their tracks before a single die is rolled. The elongated jaw structure, coiled musculature, and forward-leaning stance speak to a creature perpetually on the edge of a lethal lunge.
Lore: The Twin-Strike Caste
Within the VoidHive hierarchy, the Reaper Claw caste occupies a unique tactical role. Unlike the heavy armoured siege-forms or the psychic Cortex Collective, Reaper Claws are pure hunters — deployed ahead of the main swarm to isolate, terrify, and eliminate high-value targets before the brood descends.
Their twin scythe arms are not merely weapons. Hive scholars who have survived encounters describe a ritualistic quality to the strike — both claws raised simultaneously, a moment of terrible stillness, then annihilation. Whether this is instinct or intelligence remains unknown.
On the Tabletop
The Void Reaper Claw works beautifully as an apex predator unit, a named character model, or a centrepiece display piece. Its dynamic raised-claw pose photographs exceptionally well from low angles, making it a favourite for competition display boards.
