BIOFORM PROFILE

Dreadmaw is the conclusion. The largest and most heavily armoured of the four, it does not operate with the subtlety of its packmates — it does not need to. By the time Dreadmaw advances, the target has already been identified, isolated, and stripped of options. Its role is singular: to end the engagement with absolute certainty.

HUNT FUNCTION

Dreadmaw moves last. While the other three members of the pack have been working — displacing, infiltrating, sealing exits — Dreadmaw has been waiting. When the quarry’s options have been reduced to one, Dreadmaw is already there. Its forward-leaning advance is not a charge. It is a statement. The Hunt is over. Only the conclusion remains.

ADAPTATIONS

Dreadmaw carries the heaviest chitin plating of the four, concentrated across the cranial and thoracic regions to absorb direct fire during the final approach. Its bio-rifle is the most powerful in the pack, capable of sustained fire at close range. Razor-edged talons are designed for penetration rather than speed — built to end engagements, not extend them. Its aggressive forward posture is not a combat stance. It is its natural resting position.

OBSERVED BEHAVIOUR

Unlike the other three, Dreadmaw makes no attempt at concealment. It has been observed walking openly toward fortified positions after the rest of the pack has completed their work. Defenders who have survived long enough to see it approach describe the same experience: the certainty, before it reaches them, that there is nothing left to do.

It does not hurry. It has never needed to.
