BIOFORM PROFILE
Ghostclaw is the hunter that should not be there. Compact, low-profile, and adapted for movement through confined and broken terrain, it operates in the spaces between — ruins, collapsed structures, dense undergrowth, the blind spots of defensive formations. Its combat blade is a secondary weapon. Its primary weapon is proximity.
HUNT FUNCTION
While Longfang displaces the target and Shadefang locks the escape routes, Ghostclaw moves. It uses the chaos of the opening engagement to close the distance unseen, positioning itself inside the quarry’s defensive perimeter before the target understands the threat has changed. By the time Ghostclaw is visible, it is already too close for the bio-rifle to matter.
ADAPTATIONS
Ghostclaw’s chitin is structured differently to the other three — flatter, with less surface reflection, and layered in overlapping plates that suppress sound during movement. Its combat blade is a biological growth, not a separate appendage, emerging from the forearm and capable of independent articulation. Musculature is concentrated in the lower limbs for explosive short-range acceleration from a stationary position.
OBSERVED BEHAVIOUR
Ghostclaw has been observed allowing itself to be seen — briefly, deliberately — before vanishing into cover. Analysts initially interpreted this as a flaw in its concealment behaviour. It is not. The exposure is calculated to redirect the target’s attention toward the wrong threat, buying the rest of the pack the seconds they need to reposition.
It shows you what it wants you to see.
