BIOFORM PROFILE
Longfang is the first to move and the last to be seen. A lean, predatory organism built for sustained pursuit, it distinguishes itself from other Veiled Hunt bioforms through its exceptional range and the living bio-rifle fused to its anatomy. Where others close the distance, Longfang controls it — maintaining lethal pressure from positions the quarry cannot identify or reach.
HUNT FUNCTION
When the four operate together, Longfang initiates. It identifies the target, establishes the engagement range, and delivers the first strike — not to kill, but to displace. The opening shot is a signal to the rest of the pack. From that moment, the Hunt is no longer hunting. It is closing.
ADAPTATIONS
The bio-rifle is not a carried weapon — it is grown from Longfang’s own biology, fed by the same neural network that governs its predatory instincts. Its layered chitin armour is thinner than Dreadmaw’s but more articulated, allowing rapid directional changes at speed. Elongated limbs provide exceptional stride length. Sensory organs along the cranial ridge track heat, movement, and bio-electrical signatures simultaneously.
OBSERVED BEHAVIOUR
Field reports consistently note that Longfang is never where it appears to be. Survivors describe firing at a confirmed position only to find it vacant. The organism appears to anticipate return fire before it occurs — repositioning between shots with a fluidity that suggests the bio-rifle and the hunter share a single targeting instinct.
It does not aim. It already knows where you will be.
